In addition to performing proper and functional pool and spa design, Rolling Acres works through all phases of construction with the best pool contractors in the area to ensure that the project is built to the highest possible standards.

One of the biggest misconceptions in the area about pool and pool design is that clients believe they need to talk with a pool company first, and a landscaping company second. This might hold true with other, smaller landscapers, but not with Rolling Acres. Through dedication and hard work, our company has established itself as a one-stop shop for every variety of outdoor living project. In fact, what separates Rolling Acres design team from that of a pool company design team, is that we are thinking about all facets of your backyard space, and it doesn’t stop at the pool coping. Elements of our design work include pool decks and patios, drainage requirements, screen and ornamental plantings, fences, retaining walls, water features, pedestrian flow and comfort, as well as any additional outdoor living amenities you might want to include in the project.

Specimen Plantings

As growers of our own specimen plant material, we understand the importance of having large, healthy trees and shrubs available for our jobs. Our collection of mature boxwoods, is the largest on the East Coast, and our plant material stays perfectly maintained for their eventual move into your yard. With our ability to move large trees out of our fields and onto your property, we also have the ability to move large trees that already exist on your property. Years of experience have provided Rolling Acres the knowledge to dig, ball, burlap, and transplant trees from 3’ in height to 30’ in height with the utmost care.

In addition to our own growing fields, Rolling Acres also works with many local nurseries who continually provide the best plant material; large, healthy, and grown in like soils. Rolling Acres also ensures that every plant to be used for a project, has been hand selected to meet our quality standards.

Rolling Acres quality standards don’t stop at the root ball of their plants, either. We exceed industry standards for planting. Whether existing or new, the planting beds on your property will be tilled with a combination of new and existing soil, compost, three varieties of fertilizer and plant food, as well as weed preventer. Our thorough bed preparation allows us to provide a minimum 2-year warranty on all new plantings.

When the mulch has been spread and the last spade has been picked up, it will be these plants that tell the final story. Our reputation as designers and installers of these softscapes are built by having this collection of mature plants at our fingertips, but it is the client who will ultimately be rewarded.

We, the landscape contractors, craftsmen and nurserymen of Rolling Acres Landscape Construction and Specimen Nursery invite you to experience why our name and reputation has remained unblemished for the last 40 years. Our unique approach to custom design work allows you to discuss your project with both the owner and a landscape architect or landscape designer before the design ever begins. By allowing an open line of communication into the design phase, we can help ensure that the end product will be a stunning combination of the aspirations of the client, the designers talents, and the knowledge and experience of our installation team. Additionally, when you sign up for landscape construction services, up to 50% of the design cost will be credited back into the cost of the installation work.
